Electric Vehicle Chargepoint Grant extended to households with on-street parking
The government has recently expanded the Electric Vehicle Chargepoint Grant, extending its benefits to households without driveways.
Initially introduced for households with driveways, the scheme has since evolved to include homeowners in flats and individuals in rental accommodation. The latest extension broadens the grant's accessibility to households with on-street parking when their EV chargepoint is installed with a cross-pavement solution such as Charge Gully.
Through the grant, EV owners can receive significant cost reductions, covering up to 75% of the expenses in purchasing and installing an EV chargepoint, with a maximum subsidy of £350.
The grant requires the resident to have permission from their local planning and highways authorities to install a cross-pavement charging solution between their home and the parking space. We are becoming available in parts of the country as part of trials with local authorities. Check our Get Started page to see whether we are arranging a trial where you live yet and if not, to check what you can do.
The grant is available from installations anywhere in the United Kingdom and funding is (currently) confirmed until 31st March 2025 so don’t delay getting applying for your cross-pavement solution.
